For today's maths I completed a comic math activity, I wrote a story on fractions as a comic. I's say it's most likely a comic although it is, It was fun and enjoyable describing more about fractions,
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 7 and my teacher is Mrs. Tuakoi.

Today In this reading activity I have found some interesting facts about the Stanley Steamer and The Model T - Ford. I have also found the similarities to both the cars.
What Family means to me
Family Is worth a fortune! Your family will be by your side forever. They’re there through the pain and even through the joy. What ever you go through they are there.
They're here to be relied on. Sometimes siblings can be annoying and not helpful but they are your family (Brothers & Sisters) It gave me time to think carefully about family and what they mean to me.
If I need them they will help me, Family means the world to me. If they weren’t here with me I wouldn’t be who I am today. I thank them with everything I’ve got to please them in a loving way.
That’s what family means to me…
Making Mistakes
Mistakes come and go
But they always tend to flow
Sometimes mistakes can be shown
But most of the time they go
As time passes by
My mistakes come for a visit
My mistakes come for a visit
I’ve made a lot of mistakes
And for me can never be forgotten
Sometimes it’s worth a sorry
But for me it’s still a worry
Mistakes are what keep me going
And sometimes it’s unknowing
My whole life I thought
Mistakes would turn into jail
When I was thinking it turned me pale
And I always fail
And my mistakes always lead to a trail
Swearing at my Mum
Wasn't a great idea
I slapped myself painfully
With a tear
It made me cry when I said those painful words
I didn’t mean to say what i said

Otago rail trail
The Otago rail trail seems like a good place to ride bikes and talk with a group of friends. If i were there i would prefer to ride my bike to experience what it would be like to travel through there. I wouldn't mind riding my bike through the Otago rail trail. It seems like a really unique name and it probably is quite a quiet place.

One step at a Time
My group and I were walking into a big huge and large forest. As we were walking into the forest I stopped walking and stared at a beautiful tree it was really long and big. As I was staring at the tree my group had suddenly left to another location. It was frightening and scary because I was by myself. A sudden chill ran down my back and gave me a bad thought about the forest and me being alone. I called them and they never had responded to my calling.
So I tried finding them with hope. But there was no sound, no chattering no nothing not a single sound from them but my echo.
As I was walking really slow I heard my group walking and i suddenly found them .

Keeping New Zealand beautiful
To help my neighborhood and my environment i would:
1. Ask a group of friends to help clean our neighborhood so that our street is clean.
2. Walk along the foot path with a rubbish bag and see if there are any sightings of rubbish and pick it up.
3. Keep clear of anyone dumping rubbish and ask them to pick it up
These are a few ways i could help keep our neighborhood clean and tidy.

Wild eyes
For this activity i have chosen the tuatara because i like the skin and the way it moves i also like the natural color of the tuatara. A tuatara is a lizard or a reptile that has soft spikes along it's neck. A lizard is a reptile that was discovered a century ago. A tuatara loves to eat insects but there common food that they eat are eggs, they even eat the left over scraps from a seagulls meal. Tuatara's mainly live in New Zealand in the south.

My winter holiday poem
Today I wrote this poem about our two week holiday.
Holidays
“ Yay “ everyone shouted with joy and happiness. On the last day of school i started thinking and it made me wonder…. Is school actually finished? Wow we are now moving onto term 3 really quick, my response was really surprising to the holidays coming , i didn’t actually want the holidays.
Two weeks of the holidays are pretty long that’s why i’m not actually surprised and excited about the holidays. You have 16 days off of school and it’s the winter holiday too, there ain’t a lot of activities to do this holiday as well. But there are exciting indoor activities to do also .
I hope all goes well for my winter holidays.

Nobody laughed
Inference: Nobody laughed
Use the parts you already know and put the parts you didn’t know to find out a conclusion.
- I know that Big Barn Is a warehouse where you find what you want in it’s own section.
- I also know that the summer holidays are In December, January and February, and February is where you start school for a new year.
- I know that nobody laughed because they all had their own favourite thing and if they had laughed at anyone's favorite thing than they would laugh back.

Personification poem
Personification poem
Basketball
I am round and shaped like a ball
And I am always used In a hall
I am big but people think i’m small
You bounce me a lot
Sometimes I’m worth a shot
People run around and dribble with me
But when you're sitting far away from me you can’t really see
As I get thrown across the long court
I quickly get catched and thrown like normal
When you see me fly like wind across the court
The crowd goes WILD!
My team travels around the world
And competes other teams around the world
My name and the game are the same name
What am I?
The lonely Tourist
One by one two by two I was stepping closer to my unknown destination . Trying to run away from the eruption around my neighborhood, I packed my bag and left In a sudden matter of time. Unknowing where I’m going to lead to I just had to hurry. I could feel a good spirit coming towards this unknown adventure.
As I left not knowing where everyone else went to i kept carrying on. Leaving myself as the lonely tourist. Exhausted from the long walk I then fell asleep right where I was. When I was sleeping it felt like I was drifting away with the wind which made me wake up. As I kept walking after my nap, I came across an airplane which I never have thought I would of came across. I sprinted to the airplane but I stopped and looked again and one side of It was unfortunately broken.
I stopped and ate some snacks, And saw a lot of supplies like a health kit , food and clothes.
I wondered who left all the usable stuff.. So I took all the supplies and headed off.
When I left I felt a chill ram down my back, I then stopped and put my jumpers on.
